Japanese Dinner Series
Sushi in the Speakeasy is growing into a more expansive experience. Chef Edward is excited to introduce a new “Dinners from Japan” series, drawing inspiration from the regions, traditions, and seasonal cuisine that shaped his years living and working in Tokyo.
Inspired by the Japanese tradition of kaiseki, each intimate dinner at The Lively will feature a thoughtfully curated multi-course menu highlighting seasonal ingredients, refined technique, and rotating sake pairings selected to complement the experience.
Centered around the Japanese culinary philosophy of “Gomi, Gokan, Goyo” (“five tastes, five senses, five methods”), Executive Chef Edward Higgins creates an ever-evolving dining experience that honors traditional Japanese cuisine while exploring modern interpretations and regional influences from across Japan.

Whether you are a longtime wine enthusiast or simply looking for a memorable night out, this dinner offers a relaxed and elevated way to experience some of Napa Valley’s most recognized wineries at The Lively.
